This weekend it is Dudley's festival of water and light and EGG has sponsored a boat for PROUD The festival will take place 2.30 - 8.30 on Sun 1st Oct at Merryhill Waterfront ( opposite the Merryhill Centre ) with the boat parade taking place at 7.30pm The boats will be all lit up in musical themes and our boat is going to have Mary Poppins theme. There will be a fair and craft stalls and fancy dress competitions there too. It will be great to see you there

If you are watching Billy and Honey in the Eastenders storyline you will see how they are dealing with the news and peoples reactions to having a baby with Down's syndrome
We are hoping that new parents will know that there is support out there for you and your family and that there is always someone willing to help and discuss and offer advice to you.
Hannah will be appearing ( along with 8 other children with Down's syndrome ) on the Eastenders episode to be aired on Monday 30th October

Hannah had her story published in Take a break last week ( issue 35 for those of you that missed it and want to order it ) and we are still having an incredible response to the article.
Other newsEastenders are doing a storyline in which the characters Billy and Honey give birth to a baby and then are told the news that the baby has Down's syndrome. This is due to be aired on Sept 7th ( if you haven't read the papers already this week )
